Glenn Beck Can't See the Forest for the Trees

Glenn Beck Can’t See the Forest for the Trees
I was channel surfing last night and had the misfortune to see Glenn Beck’s ever-increasingly-bloated face and actually stopped to see if indeed his facial edema was inversely proportional to his sanity.

After seeing him crazily waving his red pen in the air, pointing to a pie chart, I picked up from bits of his nearly incoherent pressured speech and jibberish that he is of the opinion that we have more trees now than at any other time in our country’s history or some such foolishness.

While anyone with their eyes open knows that this is simply not possible, Beck seemed like a man possessed in his urgency to point out yet another left-wing conspiracy.

OK now, Fox, everyone enjoys a joke and it’s very interesting to watch the progression of madness to the point of imminent total disconnect, but this is getting a bit sad. This man is clearly losing whatever shred of sanity he ever had!

Does anyone remember that Beck holds himself out to be a recovering alcoholic? Does this look anything like Serenity to anyone? Anyone? Is he wearing his sobriety like a loose garment? Is he adhering to the slogan “Live and Let Live” or “Easy Does it”?

It appears quite clear to me that Beck is one breath away from imploding and doing it in a very public manner. And while his ratings are probably up with these increasingly bizarre antics and utter nonsensical positions on virtually any subject, it would appear, does he not realize we are all laughing uproariously at him and watching his show with the sound OFF?

Well, friends, not to worry! Because Beck is being paid very well for the loss of any journalistic credibility he might ever have had. And when he ends up in a hospital for treatment of his many mental maladies, he will not have to worry about pre-existing conditions, co-pays, nor deductibles, nor co-insurnace nor the public option, since he will have plenty of cash to pay his for inpatient hospitalization for an eternity or however long it takes him to get his sanity back!
