Glenn Beck Leaving His Fox News Show
Posted by admin on April 7th, 2011
After 27 months of tears, lies, half-truths, deceit, misrepresentations, chalkboards, rallies, divisiveness, name calling, and complaining about minutia, Glenn Beck will be leaving his show on the Fox News Channel. Wednesday, Beck and FNC agreed to end his program sometime later this year.
Our favorite idiot seems to have lost the will to continue his drivel, or at the very least, is being driven out by the powers at be at Fox News for being too controversial and irritating sponsors who have distanced themselves from the Glenn Beck show.
The Washington Post says:
Beck’s sometimes outrageous pronouncements — he infamously said that President Obama has “a deep-seated hatred for white people” — were good for drawing attention and viewers, but they made him radioactive among sponsors. They also put him out of step with Fox News’ overall ethic, which is heavy on pugnacious conservative commentary but eschews the sort of apocalyptic rhetoric Beck favors.
Leading conservatives have taken issue with Beck lately, too. Pat Buchanan and neoconservative columnist William Kristol, among others, criticized Beck’s comments about the Middle East after Beck asserted that the uprisings were part of an alliance between American liberals and Muslims seeking to create a caliphate that would spread radical Islamic ideology across the region.
The LA Times added:
News of Beck’s ouster was greeted with jubilation among his liberal critics. The left-leaning website Huffington Post featured a picture of the host with the giant headline: “IT’S OVER.”
“His behavior went from erratic to completely unhinged,” said Ari Rabin-Havt, executive vice president of Media Matters, a liberal watchdog group that has long attacked Beck. “Ultimately Fox had no choice but to make this decision.”
But Harrison cautioned that liberals should not divine any larger political meaning in Beck’s exit.
“A little dip in the ratings, and suddenly people think the whole conservative movement is going down,” he said. “When people watch Beck or O’Reilly or Hannity or Howard Stern, it’s not necessarily equivalent to saying ‘I agree with them.’ That’s one of the biggest myths in broadcasting. Lots of people listen to these guys because they hate them.”
What do you think about the news Glenn Beck is leaving Fox News Channel? Talk about it in the comment field below.
I’m really happy that he’s leaving, but I wish he would disappear from t.v altogether. Seriously. He’s an embarrassment to religious people, non-religious people, Mormons (speaking as one myself) to news networks and just to anyone who watches. I’ve never liked him in the first place, I’ve watched half a show and couldn’t believe what he was saying…and this is before he really got nuts.
My mom used to watch him from the start, but even she has seen his dwindling sanity and is rather appalled with him. He’s not really offering any solutions; he’s mud-slinging and he’s just nuts. If he keeps up the ranting, I think he may get excommunicated from the church soon, because he’s a TERRIBLE example of us, and I hope he does.
I really hope he get’s off of t.v soon, him stirring things and all.
Doesn’t sound like too much of a victory for those of us who loathe this assclown because:
1. He’ll still be on the air ’til the end of the year
2. He’s still making megabucks
3. Fox News is still popular
That assclowns like Beck can make big bucks by espousing such idiocy makes me ashamed to be an amerikan.
I think it terrible that Beck’s program is being ousted. He was an honest reporter to us of the mess our country is in. His reporting was true journalizm and puts today’s journalist to shame. His program was a #10 in our home–shame on the liberals for putting him down.
I NEVER MISSED HIS PROGRAM AND HE TOLD PEOPLE WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENING IN POLITICS. TOLD HOW OBAMA IS HAS COMMUNISTS IN HIS CABINET AND HE IS A SOCIALIST. WE WILL MISS HIM
Wow. . . Susan and Harold. . . you have some serious mental issues. Glen Beck continues to reinforce how stupid and miss-informed Americans really are. No wonder most of the world hates you!
Susan, how was any of Glenn Beck’s reporting “true journalism”? Is the journalism ideal now to sit there in front of a camera and spouting off personal, frankly radical, views?
The very definition of journalism is: “The style of writing characteristic of material in periodical print publications and broadcast news media, consisting of direct presentation of facts or events with an attempt to minimize analysis or interpretation.”
Sounds to me like Glenn Beck is the exact opposite of that. Maybe I’m wrong.
This guy is nothing but a a dry drunk nut. He needs to have his meds upped!!Sad man!!! Mormanism needs to be looked at closely as not a religion but a cult. And Newt!!!! Bring it on!!! This man delivered divorce papers on his wife’s death bed.. hmmm.. a real American. NOT! You know what.. I am married to my husband for 32 years. to the same man.. I think I have more on him than him!! And remeber people his shutting down of the Govv. His Contract with America… a complete failure. You know what I am a proud Democrate and will vote for President Obama again.. No regrets with my first vote and not with my next!!!
P
He will be missed mainly by democrats because nuts like him will assure obamas re election.
Glenn Bleck should have never gotten onto Fox in the first place…he should have never been on T.V. in the first place. The fact is Glenn Beck is a complete pinhead who doesn’t know what he is talking about. With regards to Mormonism, one of the reasons why it has become increasingly popular is through the rantings of this idiot. That is how things like this work. Many people know that he is an idiot, but they still love him. And they also find an attraction to his cult too, Mormonism. To be honest, myself and many others couldn’t care less for either Glenn Beck or Mormonism.
Obama has communists and socialists in his cabinet?!?!?! HURRAY!!!!! Communism is better than this government…
Harold, being represenaive of his fans, cannot locate a capslock button.
Susan also being a represenative of his fans, cannot be bothered to understand the difference between “journalism” and “commentator with an agenda”
Glenn Beck is a fine example of “bad publicity is better than no publicity”. He has narrow-minded, personal views that he attempts to pass off as facts. He is so far off course with reality. All I can say is that his jibberish words are at best a tall-tale, and at worst convincing his weak-minded followers. My advice to those people is to investigate his claims further, and simply open your eyes to see passed his disguise. Remember that he says whatever will earn him more money. It’s that simple. He has done such a good job that he even has this website-again, bad publicity making him money.
hey not all mormons are bad. glenn beck is actually the only evil/idiotic one that ive come across
I’d just like to say that Glenn wasn’t forced or asked to leave his show. He left so that he could focus on improving the country, by using his own network to inform people. No, he isn’t a journalist and has never claimed to be one.
Glenn isn’t evil, that’s a terrible accusation. He’s a family man with hope for our country.
I’m not trying to sound preachy, just hoping this website will possibly to the right thing and correct the article, since it’s obviously wrong.
Liz- supporting GB on the glennbeckisamotherf&$@!ingmoron website shows how stupid you far right wing nuts truly are. And that goes for the rest of GB backing commenters wasting their time on our site. If you’re behind such an idiotic agenda tthen you’re too dumb to have a reasonable opinion on which direction to go. Here’s a hint, leave.
